Comprehensive Eye Exam

An annual comprehensive eye examination is an important part of your overall medical health. Your doctor will determine your prescription for both glasses and contacts, check you for various eye conditions, discuss proper screen time, prevention and monitoring of common ocular afflictions, and much much more. Forest Hills Vision Associates welcomes adults and children of all ages for routine eye evaluations.

Ocular Examination

Evaluating eye health and the visual system includes careful examination of the health of the front and back of the eye. This lets doctors detect conditions such as cataracts, retinal abnormalities (such as those arising from diabetes, high blood pressure, and retinal detachments), and measurement of the pressure in the eye and the examination of the optic nerve to detect glaucoma.

Why should I take an ocular examination?

Evaluation of the eye teaming ability and eye coordination is performed, as well as measurements of the shape and regularity of the front part of the eye.

On your eye exam ours Doctors can also determine the presence of focusing problems, nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism through these evaluations. These tests are performed using automated instruments as well as subjective techniques.
