Comprehensive Ocular Examination and Vision Testing
The evaluation of eye health and the visual system, these tests include careful examination of the health of the front and back of the eye to detect conditions such as cataracts, retinal abnormalities( such as those arising from diabetes and high blood pressure, and retinal detachments), and measurement of the pressure in the eye and the examination of the optic nerve to detect glaucoma.
Evaluation of the eye teaming ability and eye coordination is performed, as well as measurements of the shape and regularity of the front part of the eye. The determination of the presence of nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and focusing problems is also made. These tests are performed using automated instruments as well as subjective techniques.
